Have a safe trip Lely...

Most of you that know Lely, also know that she's going away for a year to work on the cruise ships. I just want to wish her all the best. I hope that she gains the experience that she's hoping to gain and also has heaps of fun on her travels. May she also be enriched and grow from the many lessons she will learn while she's there.

For those of your that don't know Lely, she's one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. She's always there to pick you up when you're feeling down with her happy-go-lucky attitude towards life. She has touched many lives and will definately be missed...

Anyways, take care...have a great trip and I'll hopefully see you in a year! Come back Safe!

I'm still alive...

Ok, so I haven't blogged for a while. Why? I don't really know...it's not like I've been doing that much really. That's probably why I haven't blogged. So here I am just letting people know that I'm still alive.

I hope you're all keeping well and stuff...when I think of something to blog about I definately will!

Special Note: Mish, thanks for the card re: Thumper's passing. It was really sweet and I appreciate your thoughts and well wishes.

Goodbye my friend...

Today my Baby boy Thumper passed away...may you go to a better place with lots of daisies, carrots, bananas and other yummy things...I will miss you dearly...Thanks for the good times...the memories will last with me forever. You may have just been a pet, but I have so much to say thank you for...You were more than just a pet...you were my friend and confidant. The joy that you brought to my life will never be replaced. So long my little one...gone, but never to be forgotten...

R.I.P. My Thumper (Sometime 2001 - 16th May 2006)

I'm sorry if this post doesn't flow properly. It's been an emotional day...

Funny Bunny!

Last night Lely came over to see my family and of course Thumper! These two get along so well, Thumper practically lets her do anything to him! I just had to post some of these pics up coz they're really cute!

Lely and Thumper...hehe, he looks like a little baby all squished up here!

Someone looks nice and comfy...such a fat blob he doesn't want to move! He's so lazy Lely had to hold his ears up here otherwise she says he looks like a beaver?!

Hehehe...how funny is this pic! Thumper loves tummy rubs! haha

I wanted to post pictures of Binkie (Lely's Bunny) too, but I forgot my camera and the pics I took with my phone came out really crap! Binkie's eyes came out retarded because she naturally has red eyes and the flash made her eyes look white! It's scarey! So maybe next time if they get along I'll try and get a pic of them together!

Wandering the streets...

On Sunday afternoon I went down to Chapel Street for a while with Ash. There are a lot of things around Chapel that you wouldn't normally notice unless you had a tour guide like Ash with you! Took a few cool photos while I was down there...Ash pointed out all these cool stencils on the walls around that area! I never knew these things existed and people go to so much effort to do them! haha.

A smiley face grim reaper on the wall of a building in Greville St. Supposedly the guy that did this is quite famous!

Space invaders character again on another wall in Greville St. Ash told me that the guy that does these is French.

The Lenny store. It's pretty interesting. More like a beat up old house when you go inside converted into a little shop after you go upstairs and figure out where to go!

Ok so I had to put some shoe pics in here! This is soooo cool. It's supposed to be promoting the new Adicolor range of shoes from Adidas! How good do the colours look?!

You'll find this pic on the side of Dakota 501 on Chapel.

And last but not least is the shoe display from Provider on Greville St. For those of you out there that are really big on collecting Nikes. They have a great selection of bring backs here.

A big thank you to the guy working at Provider who let me take this photo!

Once we'd finished walking around we sat down for a coffee at Coffee Club on Chapel. I had a Melloccino (Cappuccino with marshmallows in it) and Ash had a latte. Across the road there's some trees and there must be hundreds of birds in the trees! They were squawking like crazy it was almost deafening!

I also booked myself in to make a custom pair of Puma runners @ the Puma Store on Chapel. Check it out at the Mongolian Shoe BBQ. It's pretty cool! You get to choose all the different parts of the shoe that you want and put it down on a stencil. Once you've finished they have it made at the factory and 4-6 weeks later wala! You have your own "one of a kind" shoes! That's next Saturday....I'm not too sure if I'm going to follow through with it. It's only going to be available for another 2 weeks, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $220. I'll let you all know later!

How was mother's day for everyone?

** Happy Mother's Day Mum! **

The flowers I gave to Mum for Mother's Day...they look like Pom Poms!

Mother's day turned out to be a pretty eventful day for me! I was so happy for my mum! My sister came over in the morning with her daughter (my niece, yup I'm an uncle)...I think that was the greatest present for her. Three generations all together...it was the best thing ever! I can't put into words how much it would have meant to her, but for those of you that know the story...You know what I'm talking about and I hope my Mum felt extra special...she deserves it!

Mum and little Amira.

My mummy has always been there to support me. She always knows the right things to say and her advice is more often than not correct. I don't know what I'd do without my Mum. Even though we don't talk much I still think she's one of the most important people in my life. Hehe...I'm a mummy's boy! =P

Amira amongst the flowers that my Mum received. Isn't she gorgeous?!?

Since my sister came and it turned out to be a surprise I decided to buy back lunch for mum instead of taking her out like I'd originally planned. That way we could have a more intimate lunch at home and talk properly without having to deal with all the crowds of people at the restaurants. I brought home some Malaysian food...chicken and cashews, beef rendang and sambal fish.

From left to right: Sambal fish, Beef rendang and Chicken & cashews.

All in all I think the day went well...it's nice to have a day to celebrate what all our Mothers mean to us. Although it would be even better if we could make everyday a Mothers day, don't you think?

Pool & Table Tennis

** Warning, lots of photos...sorry if it takes too long to load! **

Saturday night I had no plans as per usual being a spur of the minute person. I was just sitting at home looking up stuff on the internet and chatting to my friends on MSN. My friend Bharat decided that he wanted to go and eat so we went up to the local shops (Pinewood) to eat fish and chips...now these just aren't any old paper bag fish and chips, these are the best fish and chips ever! The shop is called Flake Attack! So if you're ever down don't forget to try it out!

You pay $7.90 (I think? I can't remember) and you get a flake, chips, and 2 serves of salad. Not bad huh?

I had the pasta pesto salad and potato salad. I'm not much of a salad person so I thought these would be the safest choices.

After we finished eating Sahil called up and came down to catch up with us. Was cool to see him again. We decided to head down to Princes and play some pool. The guys drank scotch, but I just stuck to my usual beer.

Sahil...Mr. Bling Bling! Hehe...sure you have enough rings?

Bharat and Sahil. Old high school buddies!

Me and Bharat. Nice jacket Bharat! haha...I wonder who that belongs to? It looks very much like mine! (Bharat really likes my jacket =P) Think next time you should follow me to HK to do shopping!

I had to put this photo in coz it looked cool! (BTW the shot missed...haha...bleh!)

And a few more action shots from the guys!

Sahil hehe...he likes to pose.

Bharat's drinking scotch technique! Hmm...still wearing my jacket! haha...maybe it makes you look more drunken!

On our way downstairs Sahil suggested Table tennis, so I thought what the heck may as well! I didn't realise Sahil was that good though. So he killed both Bharat and I!

Bharat in an action pose! Getting ready to receive Sahil's spinny serve!

Me...Table tennis action shot...bit blurry! Oh well!

Don't know what Sahil was doing here...but it looks sorta cool anyways!

After we finished all that Bharat wanted to go to KMart to buy a situp bench so we followed along. I think he's trying to work on a 6-pack...hehe...I should probably do the same!

My Friday evening...

After work today I went to get my hair cut. I love going to the hairdresser! Today was extra special coz my hairdresser's assistant sat down next to me while I was getting my hair cut and chatted to me...she's quite cute as well! haha...lucky me! It was really nice for a change as I usually just sit there and read a magazine while my hair's being cut listening to my hairdresser talk about stuff. Not that I mind doing that, but today it was different and I liked the feeling of being pampered. I don't mind a bit of attention! hehe

After my hair cut I caught up with my long time friend Ash! We used to try and see each other every Friday night, but we haven't for a long time so it was really good seeing him. We went to Coco Lounge in Glen Waverley and just chatted about the usual stuff that we do...work, golf, general life stuff...hehe...I don't think we really touched on girls at all tonight? How strange...hehe

Ash ordered a Schofferhofer beer! I haven't had on of those for ages. It's a german beer that comes in a 600ml bottle. Usually served in a very tall skinny glass, but for some reason they didn't use that glass tonight!

Schofferhofer above. Wrong glass as you can see there. I think with the new change in staff there they don't really know what they're doing!

Cheers Ash! You can't tell here, but Ash is damn tall compared to me! He's 195cm tall! Right?

I had a Long Island Ice Tea with a ginger bread man on the side. I don't know why the people there always laugh or giggle when I order it! They sell them so someone must also eat them besides me!

Me with my Ginger bread man...haha :P I look a bit dorky in this photo, but oh wells, it's the only one I have!

My Long Island Ice Tea (Bacardi, Vodka, Cointreau, Tequila, and a dash of Coke) Yummo!

Thanks for the catch up Ash! Was good seeing you again, we should get back into our regular routine!

My special best friend!

I really wanted to blog about something...so I decided to write a tribute to my best friend.

A friend is someone who cares
Someone who is always there

A friend is someone special
Someone who you can tell everything

A friend is someone who will never betray you
No matter who doesn't like you

A friend is someone you can trust
Someone kind of like you

Introducing my bestest friend in the whole wide world.........my baby THUMPER!

Thumper as a little boy!

Look at that fat bunny...he looks so chilled out don't you think?

Hehe...he's cute, he's fluffy, he never gets mad at me...he's super adorable and friendly! I saw him 4 years ago (I think!) in a petshop window. His ears were so much bigger compared to the rest of him back then! But now he's a big bunny...but still loves to get pats and cuddles! I hope your find him as cuddly looking as I do!

Stress relief...maybe?

** Warning - This is a pretty boring post! **

For those of you that don't know already, work's been stressing me out big time. I am accountable to 4 different bosses within the company and the problem is that each of them don't know what the others have asked me to do for them at any one time. What this means is I could have several jobs going on at once. I have recently found myself in this predicament and have been feeling totally bogged down. I felt like I was going to have a nervous breakdown...hehe

Today I walked straight into work and went straight to the CEO's office. I explained to him what's going on and he was really understanding. He said to me that my expectations upon myself are too high and that I need to learn to tell people when I can't manage before I burn out. After that he called a meeting with all the bosses that I'm involved with and they came to a solution. Thank goodness!

So now what's happened is that any work for me has to go through one boss only and he gives me instruction as to what tasks need to be done. This way I don't get left floundering with heaps of work to do not knowing where to begin. I probably should have said something sooner before I made myself so stressed out..but anyway, lesson learned! Time to swallow my pride and realise that I am only human after all! Yay! I can breath again!

Hopefully things ease off over the next few days and I can learn to enjoy work again!

Sunday Golfing Mayhem...

Me in my golf gear! Like my visor?!?

Waterford Valley Golf Course. 9th hole view of fairway.

Ok...so for those of you who have been reading my blog, you know that I am in golfing retirement. I was happily snoozing away this morning when Mark called to say that we're playing golf! Are you kidding?!? It's supposed to be storming today! I then decided to call Khar...supposedly it was him that wanted to play! Arghh! hehe...anyways, I needed a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 CD so luckily Khar had it. That convinced me to go to golf.

So the "Awesome Foursome" of Khar, Kheang, Mark and myself turned up at Waterford Valley GC at 9:50am. Looked like the weather might hold up. Hmm...this could be ok I thought! Boy was I wrong! No sooner had we gone in and paid our green fees then it started pouring down! So bad! We all got really wet on the first hole! Funnily enough that was about all the rain lasted for. After the first hole it stopped raining for the rest of the day! Weird hey?!? Took about 5 holes after that for my pants to dry though! haha =)

Khar's big grin! You pulled me out of retirement for this?!? I was freezing! And my hair was all wet!

Me and Mark. The sun had finally come out, but I was already cold wet and struggling at golf!

Archrivals! hehe...My lion vs. Khar's Marvin

Anyway, it wasn't all a bad! On the back 9 I decided to play a match against Khar. Was good for my golf, but not so good for Khar's. My game seemed to lift as Khar started to go backwards. One thing I learned today is that I can only play golf if I'm challenged! If we're just hitting it around it's no fun! Thanks Khar for bringing my game back! I'm still going to stay in retirement for a while if you don't mind! hehe

After we finished playing golf Mark had to hurry off...even though I'd won the coffee for the day! hehe...

Mark driving off in the new VW Turbo Jetta Fsi. Wave Bye Bye!

After golf we went into the clubhouse for a drink. The guys shouted me Tomato soup and a bread roll as my prize...yay! After such a cold day it was nice to get something warm into my Tummy!

The beer and nuts was given to us by the course owner. I'm not such a fan of VB, but hey...it was free! Such a nice gesture! Cheers Gary! All the best I hope the course goes well! We enjoy it!

On a side note, this morning I had the strangest feeling. I put my itunes on as I usually do when I have a bit of time to kill. Mariah Carey's "We belong together" song came on and for the first time since I can remember I didn't have a girl in my head at all! For as long as I can remember I've always had someone special on my mind...but at this point in my life, there's nobody! It's so strange!!! Am I normal?

An enjoyable Saturday night!

How was everyone's Saturday night? I originally had no plans and was expecting to stay home to do some work in preparation for meetings this coming week. Instead I ended up meeting up with Kelly, Trev, Sarah and Kev @ Lygon St. The original plan was to play pool, but it was too hard to find parking in the city! Koko Black was completely packed out so we went next door to Stuzzichino's.

Stuzzichino's

I had my usual red wine...hehe, the weather was perfect for a glass of red. Kelly was hungover so she was staying off the alcs from Friday night...=P

My almost empty glass of red...I forgot that I had my camera so I didn't manage to get a photo with Sarah and Kev coz Sarah had to go to work @ BLVD. Silly me! I did get a photo of Kelly and Trev though!

Falafel Kitchen

After Stuzzi's it was just the 3 Amigos, so we went for a little walk up Lygon St. Next stop Falafel house! hehe...Not much to say about this, but we actually stopped because Kelly wanted a juice and they squeezed fresh juice here. We noticed that they also had "Sheesha". For those of you that don't know what that is, it's those middle eastern Big Bongs (See pic below) where you smoke different flavoured Tobacco. Cool huh? Thanks to Trev and Kel for being such good sports and entertaining my craving to have some! hehe...You guys are the bestest! Just like when I wanted to go bowling!

Me with the Big Bong! yay!

Kelly looks pretty cool smoking huh? Hehe...Were you blowing smoke in Trev's face here?

Trev being a dragon! I think he was blowing smoke out of his nose here! Hehe...hardcore Trev!

The guy that looked after us at Falafel Kitchen was really nice so we decided to give him a tip!

QV

After we'd finished our Sheesha we decided to go to Chilli Padi in the city to eat. After parking the car at QV guess what I saw on the way and i definately had to get a photo!

How cool huh?!? It's the window of Glue Store @ QV. Has a big range of Onitsuka Tiger's in all different colours and i think in this shot they've also put some of the new Adicolour range from Adidas.

Like the view from outside my building? Hehe...it's pretty cool huh? (Refer to Kelly's World for more info on this pic, if she decides to blog about it...)

Chilli Padi

At Chilli Padi we ordered the following; Har Mee x 2 (Me & Trev), Curry Laksa x 1 (Kelly), Roti Chanai (Everyone). Was pretty yummy! hehe...I also had my favourite Beer, Hoegaarden.

Looks Yummy?! The man gave me a Lipton tea glass for my beer! Pretty funny! Oh well...I guess it's still the same shape as the Hoegaarden glass, but half the size!

After that it was home time because we were all looking a bit tired and Kelly had to work at 10am Sunday morning. On the way walking back to the car Kelly pointed out that the bubble between the two sides of Melbourne Central changes colour so I had to take a photo of it! Hehe...I got it while it was pink!

Very Cute! Why do round things always look so cute?

I think that's enough from me now though! I decided to leave the rubbish bin for you to blog about Kel *wink*. Thanks for the night and the memories guys! Was good catching up!

Chuzzle Champion....?!

Lely sent me this game "Chuzzle". It's a little puzzle game with cute furry characters that are different colours. When you match 3 or more of the chuzzle's they disappear and you get points. It's pretty addictive. I was pretty proud that I beat Lely's top score on my second try...hehe Sorry Lely!
Who's name is that on the top? Ooohh...hehe

What's your top score? Try it out people! It's fun!

Don't you think they look cute?!

http://www.popcap.com

Update: I've been kicked off my throne...I actually really suck at this! Lely is the Chuzzle Champion ~ *Jon bows down*

Welcome friends!

So some of my friends have jumped on the bandwagon and decided this blogging thing might be alright. Please check them out and make them feel welcome and worthwhile...=)

Welcome Lely, Khar, Lieny and Kelly (Even though you've been around for ages you're still new to my blog)

Links are on the left hand side!

About me...

Ok, so my good friend Kelly said I should probably write a post about myself...introducing myself to the world...all you guys...I had a little think about it and didn't really know where to begin so I searched around on the net a little. What I did find were the Top 10: Speed Dating Questions;

Here goes!

10. If we got into an argument, how would we settle it?
My honest answer here is that if it's a heated argument I'd walk away and let things cool off for a while in the hope that later on we could sit down and talk to hopefully reach a compromise.

9.
Why did you break up with your last girlfriend?
Once we got to know each other on a deeper level we found that we were incompatible. Pretty simple really!

8.
Do you want to get or have you ever been married?
Never been married before, but sure I'd like to get married if the right girl comes along! I don't like to share!

7.
Do you want or do you have any children?
I adore children...so definately I'd love to have kids one day yes.

6.
What are you most proud of in your life?
My family. My roots, my upbringing. I think my parents are the best for making me the person that I am today. So I'm proud to be who I am because of them.

5.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hmm...I haven't thought that far ahead yet. In terms of career I hope be in management or running my own business by then. I probably have more control over my career...Love life I can't tell...

4.
What do you do for fun?
Is this a trick question? =P well I guess my usual answer is that I spend time with friends, go for drinks and talk...the usual sort of stuff. I used to play golf a lot, but I don't find it as enjoyable as I used to. Now I prefer my moments with friends and people close to me.

3.
What do you do for work?
I work for a golf company in inventory and purchasing as well as being their fulltime IT support. Bleh!

2.
Is sexual compatibility important to you?
This is a silly question...I guess it's important to be on the same level with everything for a relationship to really work?

1.
What do you look for in a girlfriend/wife?
I think the same thing everybody does! I hope to find the one that I can love so much that nothing else matters. That if I had no material posessions in this world, I know I would still be happy with the love of this individual...unrealistic yes, but still a nice thought!

So...Learn anything about me?

Congratulations Teri (my dealer)!

Good on you for hanging in there and continuing to look. I'm sure your family and friends are all really proud of you!

Working @ home vs. office

So I've been working from home the past 2 days. Why you ask? Well I found that whenever I'm in the office I keep getting distracted by other people and things so I get hardly anything done! I finally decided I'd had enough coz it was causing me unnecessary stress and stuff so they let me work from home if I wanted to. How nice yeah?!

It has been an interesting experience...on one hand I'm able to work with very few distractions yes...but the question I am now pondering is "When does the working actually start and end?" I've found myself working in bits and pieces throughout the day and it feels like it never ends...for instance I'll wake up early as if I was going to work and respond to a few emails if anything is urgent while I'm still in bed. The next thing I find myself falling asleep again...hehe. And so the cycle begins...short bursts here and there, in between everything else. So much for fewer distractions!

What I have found, is that I end up working for longer by staying at home as opposed to being in the office. Usually when I leave the office I switch off and come home to forget about everything and relax for the rest of the evening. However, when I'm working from home my brain never ceases to stop thinking about the work that I need to do...

Has anyone else ever experienced this?!?

Shoes, shoes and more shoes!

Ok...So for those of you that don't know...I have a shoe fetish. Yes, I'm a guy that has a fetish for shoes. Don't ask me why, but when I go shopping I can't help but look at shoes. I organised them a couple of months ago because it was not cool how they were cluttering up near the front and back doors of the house. So here's a pic of me with my 40+ pairs of shoes all neatly organised...enjoy!

Heehee...corny I know! I was happy coz I bought this stuff from ikea and thought it would be a good way to store them and take up little space. It also looks nice and colourful now!
